Opened in April 1989, Central Square Shopping Centre is a sub-regional Centre comprising Myer and Target as the majors plus 38 specialty stores, over a total area of 23,356 m2.

The specialty tenancy mix comprises a strong fashion offer with some high end National brands, giftware, services and a dine in/take away food offer. 

Witchery, Mimco, Peter Alexander, Portmans, Katies, Factorie and Rivers are exclusive to Central Square Ballarat and are not represented at key competing retail precincts such as the Ballarat CBD Retail, Stockland Wendouree and Delacombe Town Centre.

A strong point of difference when comparing to local retail precincts is the parking. Direct access to the
Centre is available via the 12 levels of undercover car parking attached to the Centre.
